Is there such a thing as a free marketing system? Is it some sort of software that you click a few buttons and the marketing is all done for you? What are some free ways to market on the internet, whether it be for a product, opportunity or business that will get you results?

There are numerous free ways and paid ways to market on the Internet. Most people are initially interested in free ways to market and they wonder if they work or will get results. Let me assure you they do.

As far as a Internet Marketing System, no, there is no magical software that does it all with the click of a few buttons. However, there are a number of marketing tools that make marketing on the Internet a whole lot easier.

So just for the sake of giving you something here, how can you market on the Internet for free? The first thing you should think about is "what are other people doing" to advertise for free? Think about it. You belong to a network marketing company, sell a product or you're doing a search on the internet.

You Google the "key" word and you're taken to a page with about 10 free or organic listings on it. How did they get there? Did they use a website? Click on it and see. What did they do to get on the top of Google? Did they have good content on the site? Do they have lots of links and back links to the site? Yes, they did. Then you need to do the same if you possibly can.

What if they used a blog, a forum post or made a video? Why do these work? Because they allow for comments and comments show that the content must have some value to it for people to say something about it. Search engines will rank your site if it has good content, especially if they can advertise on it. (Ads By Google for example).

What else could you use to possibly get on the first page with the right keyword? Use any of these and you might accomplish that:

3. Use Facebook to build relationships
This is just the tip of the iceberg and all of these take time, sometimes a lot of it. And just making a post here and there isn't really going to do a whole lot of good. It has to be a long term commitment. How about Free Ad sites? Same thing. An ocassional post usually won't do any good. Then what are you to do? You have to post everyday, even several times a day and you have to know what to say and offer. What other reason is there to post on Free Ad Sites?Each ad you place puts your blog or website (not a mlm marketing website that everybody uses) on a website (the free ad site) that links to you. Do this enough and the search engines may notice. (there are other ways to do one way links like blog commenting).

Placing an ad on free sites is more about timing and luck than anything. That's why you need to do it everyday and sometimes several times a day if the site allows for it. People aren't going to go "digging" for your ad but they might notice it after they've placed an ad and are looking to see if it got posted and looks good. Here's some more ideas that will work:

Build a lead capture page. If you can't do it, hire me to do it or do a blog, they're free. Don't do a blog on your opportunity or product, do it about yourself and your experiences in life. People join people and buy from people, not from Opportunities.
When you  set up a Twitter or Facebook profile, have a link in your info section to your blog (make sure it has a form on it so people can fill it in and give you their name and email address). Just tell people what you're doing. Don't tell them to join, buy or go take a look at your site. People are curious, they'll look if they want. But you have to...

Add friends and follow people and see if they do the same. Share ideas and comment on what they are doing. Over time, they may get interested in what you do especially if you are successful at it. That's why it's better to focus on marketers by searching for them. Just look for any network marketing program and find some leaders. Then find them on Twitter or Facebook. Start a relationship. It may or may NOT lead to you getting to know them but it just might open the right door someday.

Got more money than time? Then advertise your lead capture page. Where? Who do you want to sign up under you, newbies? Then go to the Free Ad sites and hope you get one lead out of 100 ads. So go to where marketers go and advertise on those websites. Where's that?

How about Ezines that networkers subscribe to? How about online network marketing magazines? Here's a word of caution though: Just don't offer some cheesy program with a woman in a red dress on the website with cash in her hand as if to say, this can be yours in NO time! Offer something of value to people that's free. Ads that "pitch" usually don't work.

How To Use Social Networks:

 Send people personal messages that invite them to download a product for free.
 Send out messages to everyone on your friends list (via MySpace broadcast) to notify them that you are holding a contest or giving away something for free.
 Frequently change the content on your MySpace page, so that people have a reason to re-visit your page.
 Add a blog to your MySpace page, so that you can update it and gain a readership.
        After it's all said and done, it is important to remember that spamming Facebook
        or MySpace users is not a particularly good way to do business. How would you deal with those people if they were in your living room for the first time? Trying to sell products or an opportunity on a first contact or visit will rarely work.

        Remember the adage that people buy from people not from something else. So take the time to build a small relationship with people. And remember, what you may be offering has a lot to do with timing. So don't take a no as meaning always no.
