LYF appeared NOT to be your typical network marketing company. LYF Brands are some of the most effective and developed products around. This is a personal commentary on this new mlm.
The Original LYF Brands website went up on Monday, January 25th, 2010. It was taken down and replaced by the lyf.com website which launched at the pre-launch on April 29th. The new corporate website has an abundance of helpful and useful information.
LYF Brands is a well funded company. It has been reported that Michael Han is dedicating one hundred million dollars for the success of Lyf . The fact that it has quite a few members on the Lyf Leadership Team indicates great financial backing.
Initially LYF opened in the USA and has now expanded to Canada. Plans indicate an expansion to other countries in 2011. We have been told on the conference calls that Mr. Han wants to take the network marketing Industry by storm, building LYF to be the number one network marketing company within four years. However, LYF has gotten off to a slow start.
The official LYF Launch was projected to take place some time in 2011 in Washington D. C. The LYF Pre-Launch Event was very successful and I was able to attend. There was no hype. In fact, things were understated before the Event and there was no attempt to get people to order anything. We were pleased and also disappointed with the releases and information given at the pre-launch.
Michael Han comes from a background associated with network marketing as well. He has been a consultant and has helped develop compensation plans. The LYF Brands Compensation Plan is actually a nine generation uni-level with 3 levels of fast start bonuses and productive bonuses.The LYF Comp Plan will pay out an average of 50%.

LYF Brands has a 40K sq. ft. facility in Georgetown now with plans to build a larger facility for future growth. I have a friend who has been to the facility as he lives about 2 miles from it. He was very impressed with what he's seen and heard. He has experienced first hand that Lyf is interested in People first as they state.
The LYF Campus has been projected to cover a 60,000 square foot area that will include all corporate functions, distribution and warehousing, as well as eco-friendly residences.The new LYF Brands facility will obtain status as a LEED certified building and word has it that LYF Campus may be in California. There has been no update on this project.
So you can see why I said Lyf does not appear to be your typical network marketing company. Mr. Han will also be a hands on owner rather than just lending his name to the business.
In the first year of business Lyf had some issues as their "Lyf Coach" and Master Distributor left the company. I can not say for sure why this happened but it's never a good sign.
As fatr as future growth, potentially there could be hundred's of products in the next several years. The LYF Brands Products will be for Seniors, 'tweens, kids, baby's, animals and involve health and wellness, skin care and even fitness and communications. Some of these areas are untapped areas in network marketing.
Initially, LYF Brands has focused on their nutraceutical line of products. The trademark name LYFSource will initially provide two new products; One is called iChoice and includes a diet meal replacement products program. The second product is called Szoom and is a proprietary blend of six superfruit juice purees.
A new product has not been introduced yet but is rumored to be sampled by members of LYF. It appears to be a water product called VIEO2, Brain Fitness, Body Intelligence.
Some of the future functional products could include a skin and hair care line as well as home cleaning products and The LYF Network, which includes phone services, land and wireless, Internet and Virtual Office Services and much more. So you certainly get the sense that there will be a lot of products, but more importantly, products that must in some outstanding way, be better or innovative.
LYF has some good things about it but it certainly hasn't had the draw that was originally expected. Many of its early leaders left the company when it didn't "deliver" soon enough. I'm not sure it has or ever will recover.
